Did you know that everyone has a third set of molars? These large molars emerge between the ages of 17 and 25, which is where they get their name, wisdom teeth. Very often, the wisdom teeth don’t have room to grow correctly, so they can become misaligned or they can bump into your other molars. We generally remove wisdom teeth when they become impacted or when we see that they’ll put the other teeth at risk.

Wisdom teeth removal is done under local anesthesia and sedation. We remove the teeth from beneath the gums, then close the gums with sutures. There may be some pain and swelling after the procedure. We will provide you with post-operative instructions after your appointment.
